The Sant Cugat Rugby Club has started the Sportboard program, a European project framed within the Erasmus+ program coordinated by SantCugatCreix and with the participation of four other entities: the faculty of Psychology, Education Sciences and Sport of Blanquerna-Universitat Ramon Llull; the Anderlini Club (Italy); the City Council of Modena (Italy), and the ‘think tank’ Sport and Citizenship (France). Nine participants of Rugby Sant Cugat have analyzed the behaviors and attitudes of athletes, coaches and families. Psychologist Sara Suárez, from the research group of the Faculty of Psychology and Education and Sports Sciences of Blanquerna-URL, led the session. With a budget of 250,000 euros
Players, players, coaches, delegates, managers, teachers and parents of athletes were the protagonists of this session this Monday at the ZEM de la Guinardera. With all the data collected, Blanquerna Universitat Ramon Llull will make a report to reverse these situations. The next formations of the program will be in Pav 2 with the Sant Cugat Rhythmic Gymnastics and Aesthetics Club, Solideo-Pátí Hockey Club Sant Cugat and the Sant Cugat Handbol Club, in the Junior and in the Valldoreix pavilion with the DSV-Club Volleyball Sant Cugat.
The other European program, in which SantCugatCreix participates and which is led by the Center for Studies in Sport and Physical Activity (CEEAF) of the University of Vic-Universitat Central de Catalunya, is Sonar Injuries, a project for the prevention and detection of sports injuries in child and youth stages, which will take place in 30 months, between the years 2022 and 2024. The first training session will be on October 20 and 21, by the universities of Vic and Amsterdam.
